Halifax County Activity Day

— Written By Kimberly Buonomo

Did you know that good public speaking is one of the most important skills that employers look for when hiring someone? Did you also know that 75% of people have a fear of public speaking?

How is it possible that one of the most important skills that we could posses also be the one we are most afraid of? It has been shown that youth between the ages of 9-17 that participate in public speaking display improved confidence, are better at organizing, goal setting, and communicating.

This is why Halifax County 4-H is offering a County Activity Day for all youth to compete in friendly competition among peers and build their own self-esteem, through successful completion of a presentation or demonstration of their choosing!
