Join classroom and nonformal educators as we explore activities in the Project Learning Tree K-8 Curriculum Guide! Every participant will leave the workshop with the activity guide containing 96 activities, provided free of charge to participants through support from the NC Forestry Association. CEU renewal credits are available. This workshop qualifies for Criteria I or II in the EE Certification Program. Lunch will be provided! This workshop is part of a three-part series being hosted by Durham SWCD. There is a discount if you attend all three!

Participants will learn about the materials through direct engagement in the PLT activities throughout the workshop, as well gaining confidence and skills for using outdoor learning environments through exploration of the museum's outdoor learning environment. Please make a personal commitment to attend to ensure there are enough materials and space for everyone, and cancel in a timely manner if your plans change.

Correlations: The K-8 Activity Guide includes 96 activities correlated to the NC Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards, as well as high school Biology and Earth & Environmental Sciences. More information on correlations can be discovered at forestry.ces.ncsu.edu/ncplt-correlations/.
