4-Session Cooking School
September 18th, 20th, 25th and October 2nd

N.C. Cooperative Extension, Nash County Center will host the Cook Smart Eat Smart Cooking School beginning in September.

The class dates are September 18, 20, 25, and October 2, 2018. The classes will begin at 6:00 pm and end around 9:00 pm.

Cooking is a fantastic way to spend time with family and friends and to relax…well, it is if you feel comfortable in the kitchen. The Cook Smart Eat Smart Cooking School will help you learn your way around the kitchen. This fun and educational cooking program is designed for older teens and adults. The program consists of four, three-hour sessions. During the sessions participants learn to prepare simple, healthy and delicious meals. Each session contains several basic cooking techniques. Participants will learn skills such as proper knife handling skills, how to cut up a chicken, how to prepare a menu, and much more. The program will discuss healthy and nutritious meal planning, and participants will learn tips to stretch their food dollar while eating healthy.
