Only 2 Steps To Secure a 4-H Rural Life Center Summer Camp Spot:

Step 1: Complete 4-HOnline Enrollment for the current year – YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND ANY CAMP WITHOUT CURRENT ENROLLMENT COMPLETED!

  • Some of you have already created your 4-H’ers accounts; please make sure to update it by re-enrolling so your youths’ status is active for the current year. For our families not yet enrolled in 4-HOnline, we have some helpful resources to assist you. This is a REQUIREMENT for your child to attend 4-H Rural Life Center Summer Day Camps.

  • 4-HOnline Website (Please have all your child’s health information at hand when applying.)
  • 4-H Online Enrollment Resources
  • If you are unable to complete online enrollment in special circumstances only, you may download and complete the paper form HERE.
  • Need help? Email or call us to set up a time to visit our office so we can provide assistance.

Step 2: Register for camp and submit payment:

  • Digital Option:  Digital Payment Links are provided under each camp description leading to an Eventbrite Payment page. Payments made through Eventbrite require an additional service fee of $5.54 per camp per youth for this digital option and only accept debit and credit card payments (no check payment accepted)
  • Pay by Check-Traditional Option: Mail or drop off payment with 1 1/2 page  camper application form to PO Box 37, Halifax, NC 27839. (Checks and Money Orders are made Payable to “Halifax County”). Mail or drop off our Camper Application Form to PO Box 37, Halifax, NC 27839. Our hours are Monday -Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (If you are paying by check or money order, you can include this payment with the mailed Camper Application.) Legible scans of the completed Camper Application can also be emailed to cheryl_tripp@ncsu.edu

Step 3: Do you need transportation to camp? Check back to see available pick-up locations.

June 10-13

JUNIOR DEPUTY CAMP

Have you ever wanted to be a crime scene detective? How about a firefighter or EMS? Learn the skills needed as you collect DNA samples, cast different prints, and get informed on the importance of drug safety. Campers will get to know different emergency vehicles and how they operate. It’s critical that campers stay sharp on all the new skills they are learning throughout the week – you never know when there may be a mystery that needs to be solved.

June 17-21

ART CAMP

Prepare your young people to channel their inner artist! Campers will have the opportunity to let their creativity run wild as they paint, draw and mold their own one of a kind masterpieces. Campers will have the chance to apply art concepts such as form, shape and color in new and exciting ways.

June 24-28

DRAMA CAMP

Ready, set, action! Dive deep into some of your favorite movies with us as each day takes on the life of something new. Get immersed in some of the most popular movie franchises including Pixar, Harry Potter, Marvel, and Disney. Whether you are creating your own wizard wand or learning about life in the deep blue sea, this week is sure to keep you on your toes with each day’s newest adventure.

July 9-12

AQUATIC CAMP

Cool off with your 4-H friends and get ready for a dynamic week of water activities. Learn how to navigate on the water and paddle like a pro in our 4-H canoes. Test out your knowledge and catch your own science project at our steam ecology station. You won’t want to miss out on the best way to beat the heat this summer.

July 15-19

OLYMPIC CAMP

Get your game face ready as you compete against other countries through a variety of different activities and challenges. After opening ceremonies have concluded, campers will learn about the history of the Olympics as well as its significance. Earn points by not only completing challenges, but by practicing good sportsmanship and listening skills as well. Be sure to keep track of your progress during the week throught our live leaderboard. Do you have what it takes to be this year’s victor?

July 22-26

ALL AROUND THE WORLD CAMP

Don’t forget your boarding pass as you hop on a plane and fly around the world with us. We’ll be traveling to a new place each day! Campers will feel as though they are in a different country as they are surrounded by new food, customs, and even new languages. Make sure you bring your passport along with you to record all of the exciting new things you have learned.

July 29-Aug 2

MASTER CHEF CAMP

Create culinary materpieces this week as you learn the art of cooking and chef etiquette. Sharpen your knife skills and use food grown locally in our own 4-H garden as you explore new recipes to bring home with you. Put your newly found skills to the test as you compete to be the next Master Chef champion! Who will take home the victory this year?
