Turkey Trot Trail Pace 4-H Fundraiser
The Turkey Trot Trail Pace is a festive twist on a traditional trail ride. Riders will follow a marked course through beautiful scenery, aiming to finish as close as possible to the “secret optimum time” set by the organizers. It’s not about speed – it’s about steady pacing, good horsemanship, and enjoying the ride with friends.
When: November 22, 2025 @ 9 a.m.
Where: The Trails at Spruce Creek
Why: All proceeds benefit Halifax County 4-H programs!
Prizes will be awarded for the riders or teams closest to the ideal pace. Whether you trot, pace, or just enjoy a fall ride, this event is a perfect way to celebrate the season and support 4-H!
Volunteer Leaders Meeting
Join us for our next 4-H Volunteer Leaders Meeting on November 24th from 6:00–7:00 p.m. in the Ag Building Auditorium! We’ll be wrapping up the 2025 4-H year, planning ahead for 2026, sharing Achievement Night details, and highlighting upcoming events and opportunities. Whether you’re a long-time volunteer or just getting started, your voice and support are valued—we hope to see you there!
Roanoke Avenue Clean Up
We have partnered with the Main Street Director to clean up the Main Street in Roanoke Rapids. This is a wonderful opportunity for youth to give back to the community and represent Halifax County 4-H!
Event Details
- Date/Time: Saturday, November 15th, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
- Location: Fountain area on 1000 block of Roanoke Avenue
- Project: We will be cleaning out the flower pots and garden beds along Roanoke Avenue and planting new plants to help refresh and beautify the downtown area.
