Halifax County government and N.C. Cooperative Extension are excited to announce that this year’s Harvest Days will be held at the 4-H Rural Life Center October 17-18, 2025. Friday's activities are specifically for 4th and 5th grade students in any of our Halifax County public, charter, private or home schools. Many educational stations will be ready to reach our students that day, including the 4-H STEM station sponsored by Dominion Energy and Halifax EMC, along with the PUMPKIN CHUNKIN contest sponsored by Roseburg Forest Products!
Saturday, October 18, is open to the public from 10am-3pm. Sign up as a vendor, enter our arts & photo contests, or just come enjoy the fun and support local!
The first Halifax Harvest Day was held October 10, 1992 to promote the heritage, Southern hospitality, and agrarian culture in Halifax County, and to entice the millions of route 95 travelers to visit the county to learn more about the county's past and present agricultural heritage, in addition to spending some of their dollars. Each year this tradition continues to celebrate the county's history and highlight the many great things Halifax County has to offer!
