WHAT: BQA Training

WHERE: Halifax County Agricultural Center, 359 Ferrell Lane, Halifax
COST: BQA Certification fee is $15 for current NCCA members and $40 for non-members paid to NCCA with check. Student cost is $15 and includes a one-year membership to NC Cattlemen’s Association.

"The beef community has a long-standing commitment to caring for their animals and providing families with the safest, highest-quality beef possible. Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) is a program that trains farmers and ranchers on best practice cattle management techniques to ensure their animals and the environment are cared for within a standard set of guidelines across the U.S. beef industry."
The BQA program offers producers the opportunity to showcase their dedication to producing high-quality beef and earn premium dollars for it.
