Soil Samples are a very important part of yard, field, and pasture management. The NCDA&CS offers soil sampling services for free most of the year. During the peak season they do charge a $4 fee per sample. THis year the fee starts on November 27th and runs until March 31st. If you want to have any soil samples done this year for free they need to be to the Halifax or Northampton Extension offices before 5PM on Monday November 25th. Any samples received at the office ater that will not be able to be processed without the $4 fee to the NCDA&CS.
