Online Entry Form

Entries are due by noon on Tuesday, May 20th

Layer Project Information: (ages 5-18)

Entry Fee is $10 per youth check or cash payable to Halifax County.

Youth will receive 2 or 3 baby chicks on May 21st 4 p.m.-6 p.m. to be raised to exhibit at the Halifax County Harvest Days 4-H Poultry Show on October 18th.

A project record book and poster presentation is required to participate in the show on October 18th.

Avian Bowl/Poultry Judging: (ages 8-18)

No chicken ownership or fee required!

4-H Avian Bowl Contests will be held on the NC State Campus July 8th-9th. Halifax will take teams if there is enough interest!

Practices for Avian Bowl and Poultry Judging will be held at 6:30 p.m.:

May 27th

June 3th

June 10th

June 17th

June 24th

June 26th – Mock Contests

What is Avian Bowl? It is a team quiz event that tests participants’ knowledge of a widerange of avian topics (think chicken quiz bowl!)

What is Poultry Judging? It is an event that allows participants to show off their mastery of poultry knowledge by examining hens, poultry cuts and eggs.

All participants must be a current 4-H member enrolled in 4-H online.
