COMMUNITY SERVICE AGRICULTURE BOXES FOR SENIORS
FREE for Halifax County residents 60 years and older.
Beginning April 21, 2021, from 2:30–3:30 p.m., every other Wednesday.

These boxes will contain an assortment of groceries including
protein, grain, fruits, and vegetables.

First come, first serve drive-through pick-up while supplies last.
Pick-up Dates: April 21, May 5, May 19, June 2, June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 11, August 25, September 8, September 22
Service provided through September providing there is a need.
Please limit pick-up to once monthly per individual.
This program is provided by Upper Coastal Plain Area Agency on Aging and Nash County Farmers Market. The objective is to increase access to fresh produce for the region’s senior citizen population (age 60 and over) by distributing locally grown foods, including vegetables, meats, and other fresh goods. This is a grant program funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The distribution will last through September 30, 2021.
