The Halifax & Northampton Counties Beekeepers’ Association will be hosting our annual Introduction to Beekeeping event on Tuesday, February 15!

Where?  The Davie Fire Station.  3155 Highway 158, Roanoke Rapids, 27870

When? Tuesday, February 15, from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Our first event of 2022 will focus on the benefits of beekeeping (environmental and personal), bee biology, where/how to obtain bees and beekeeping supplies, start-up costs, time considerations, and honey. Attending our annual kickoff will be a great opportunity for new and existing beekeepers – as well as beekeeping-enthusiasts, gardeners, and people who are just curious about beekeeping – to get to know some established and dedicated beekeepers in our community.

If you are interested in bees, attending this event will provide the necessary information to get started. In following meetings, we will provide continuing education, mentorship, and opportunities for hands-on training.

We hope to see you there!
