Job Description As a Halifax county employee for Operation Restart and Community Service I provide support and act as a role model to young people of this county. Some of my duties include being a mentor, enforcing rules and modeling positive behaviors for youth. I often organize recreational activities, encourage participation and help develop positive social interactions. Treating young people with respect, providing positive communication, behavioral management, patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and having dedicated youth are my responsibilities in this county. There are times where trainings are required and I attend those. I visit schools and homes very often. I attend teachers, principals, counselor’s, parent meetings, attend court sessions, and even court counselor meetings. At times I attend meetings with law officials, judges, and even social workers. There were times where I (Operation Restart) provide respite for youth. With all this being stated I am a community partner. I keep all of my client files updated and confidential at all times. I complete case notes for all clients for client tracking purposes. Working as a county employee is an amazing experience and I’m always willing to learn more and help others if possible.
